Well, here it is, the new site; I’m not sure how much of an introduction is really required. The future holds original pattern(s) and much blogging of the knit variety, right here in my swanky new location. Yay!

Sakura Matsuri
This weekend Boyfriend and I met up with some friends at the cherry blossom festival at the botanical gardens. It was loads of fun; the trees were blooming everywhere in every shade of pink (although the above is the result of playing with Picasa’s saturation tool). The anime kids were out in force, including some dressed as ninjas and samurai. I have to say, the presence of ninjas made me feel safer. We caught the end of the samurai drama being performed in the main tent, which concluded with all of the slain characters coming back to life during a stirring monologue, the crux of which was that the location of true strength/power was to be found within one’s own heart. Then the guitars kicked in and the whole cast did sword exercises in unison. It was something else all right.
Still, the best part was that everywhere we went, it looked like this:
Lately I’ve felt the stirring of a latent urge to knit something pink. The festival only served to galvanize that urge. The only question now is: what to knit?
Totally cool new site, yo! Wish we could have joined you in the land of the Cherry Blossom - so beautiful, so fleeting, yet destined to return in the fullness of time. Ahhh, Spring…
